Nancy is our human resource specialist at Alpex Consulting Africa Ltd (ACAL). She has over 25 years of experience in consulting in areas of Institutional Capacity Assessment, Human Resource Management and Development, general management, strategic management, delivery of human resource policies and practices; and managing change HR management, development and monitoring and evaluation both in public and private sector institutions .She holds an Masters Degree in Education from University of Newcastle Upon Tyne England majoring on Management & Administration and Sociology . She has also consulted in NGO’s to resolve conflicts and streamline Human resource management systems. She has also been involved in small business start up and growth projects training funded by DFID and UNDP. Her wealth of experience and skills in institutional assessments will be very practical in accomplishment of this engagement.
She has vast experience in developing competence development frameworks having supported numerous organizations in private and public sector in designing their human resource strategy. As team leader, he has designed a competency development framework for organizations both in public and private sector. This involved designing the competency framework according to job groups or clusters; evaluating the staff on the competencies; recommending intervention strategies and drawing up a training calendar to ensure that the managers were equipped with the necessary competencies to deliver their work. She is an expert in performance management and competence assessment. She is experienced in conducting training needs analysis, organization capacity assessment; job evaluations; role profiling; writing job description: reviewing of schemes service; developing leadership competencies framework and human resources policies
Gideon is a consultant with Alpex Consulting Ltd. He holds a Bachelor of Engineer (Civil) degree from University of Roorkee, India. Gideon is a registered engineer by Engineers Registration Board of Kenya. He is also a corporate member of Institution of Engineers of Kenya. He is also a registered lead Environmental Impact Assessment/ Audit Expert by NEMA. He is also a Registered Lead Assessor (ISO 9000-Quality Systems, ISO 14000 Environment Management Systems) Gideon has over 25 years of professional experience covering Project Management, Project Planning, monitoring and evaluation, contract management, systems auditing, environmental impact assessments, Civil engineering assessment and capacity development, capacity building, Quality management system, Occupation Health Safety Standards, Tender evaluation and reviews in terms of quality and quantity (BOQ Measures).
Felix is a Procurement consultant with Alpex Consulting Ltd. He holds a Masters of Science Procurement from University of Glamorgan, Wales UK. He is also a holder of a Diploma in Purchasing and Supply Management from Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) UK. He also holds a certificate in Audit and Inspection from Department of Defence Kenya. He also holds various certificates on Air Force Supply Trade Test and Air Force Senior Leadership from Kenya Air Force. Felix has over 25 years experience in procurement, logistics, supply chain management, warehousing and training in: Kenya Air force, Kenya Airways, Lonrho Africa, Modern Management Institute, Sky Television, Air Japan, P & O Shipping, NHS, and DH Mitchell and Sons all in public, private, and International organizations Non-Governmental Organizations (INGOs) in Kenya and Europe. He has a wide experience working with donor guidelines: World Bank, World Food Programme, Food for the Hungry International, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the European Union. He is also conversant with research, procurement, Strategic supply policy and chain management, procedures, review, audits, strategic planning and compliance.
He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) Action Team-Which is involved in receiving, analyzing and advising on purchasing and supply contentious issues raised by CIPS members world wide. He is also a member of the CIPS continuous Personal Development (MCIPD) –This is a programme where members are awarded points on new professional skills achieved from learning and other relevant activities every year. He is also a member of International Purchasing & Supply Education & Research Association (IPSERA). The association is involved in continuous purchasing and supply research to develop new curricula, strategy and development of the profession in general. He is also a member of the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM).He is registered as a Procurement Agent by the Public Procurement Oversight Authority (PPOA). He is also registered under the Supplies Practitioners Management Act 2007.
Engineer Kiragu is our management Systems Specialist. He holds Masters in Business Administration Irish International University, Bachelor of Science Engineering-University of Nairobi and a post graduate diploma in management. He has over 35 years of hands on experience in the field of ISO standards. He is a registered engineer by the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) and a fellow of the institute of Engineers of Kenya (IEK).
He has vast professional experience in quality management having worked with Kenya Bureau of Standards for over 20 years and rose to the post of Assistant Director Quality Assurance.
He is a registered ISO 9000/14000 Lead Assessor with QSAC/KENAS and has served as the chairperson for Quality Management Association of Kenya (QMAK) since 2004.
Ayub is our lead strategic Management consultant with 18 years expertise in general management, capacity building, strategic management and understanding of the business; delivery of human resource policies and practices; and managing change HR management, development, strategic planning and a special expertise in programme monitoring and evaluation for Non-Governmental Organizations. He holds a PhD in Strategic Management; a Masters of Science in Entrepreneurship-Jomo Kenyatta University and Bachelor of Commerce in Human Resource from the University of Nairobi.
He has designed and developed strategies for key organizations in the public and private sector cutting across Ministries, Local authorities, education sector, and commercial banks. He has lectured and presented locally and nationally on a variety of management topics including Project Management, Project Planning, monitoring and Evaluation, Feasibility Studies and needs assessment, Development of Strategic Plans, Human Resource Management and Organization development.
Irene is our strategy, monitoring and Evaluation specialist. She holds a Masters in International Business Management and Bachelors degree in Business Administration from the University of Nairobi and currently pursuing her doctorate in Global Business Management. She has skills in international trade management focusing on the micro and small enterprise sector.
She boasts of over 15 years of development research and management experience with first line responsibility for strategizing, designing and overseeing comprehensive programmes in complex countries within the region. Further she has methodologically, extensive experience and expertise regarding socio-economic assessment and analysis, strategy and planning, and programme/project development and management – either by leading teams or by individual undertaking. This involved various types of needs assessments; programme substantive design; management capacity assessment and configuration of implementation modalities; systems development for substantive monitoring and financial management; evaluation; knowledge management; public information, and; advocacy and policy dialogue.
She also has Subject/thematic knowledge of social mobilization, integrated rural development, local governance and decentralization, income/employment generation, agro-support services, land reform, preventive and post-conflict development, sub-regional cooperation and integration.
Other skills comprise conducting training needs assessments (TNA), Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRAs), Evaluations and Appraisals, Strategic Planning, Team Building, Leadership and Organizational Development. She has wide experience working with communities through NGOs. She has undertaken challenging assignments including managing the UNDP Civic Education program for the referendum on the Kenyan Draft Constitution as well as establishing the Terms and Conditions of service for the Civil Service of Somalia under the Transitional Federal Government. She was part of the team that developed the management systems and structures for a Regional Agribusiness Network for Women with operations in seven Eastern African countries.
Dr. Kiriri is a lead consultant in Strategic Management and project management. He holds a PhD in Business Administration and MBA in Finance. He is Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketers U.K. Institute of Directors, Kenya (IoD) Strategic Leadership Centre International (SLC).
